€20 rebate on Accor stays via their Super Points promotion
Amongst all hotel groups Accor isn’t the most keen or creative in terms of publishing bonus points offers. They have just launched a very good offer though for your stays in the UK and Europe.
You need to register here. Like always the t&s is unclear and somewhat conflictual, but I believe the offer is:
- Book by 16 November
- Stay by 13 December
- Valid for select countries in Europe and Central Asia
- You earn 1000 bonus points if your stay includes a Fri, Sat and Sun night, or 500 bonus points otherwise
- It’s triggered on your first five eligible stays
Full list of participating countries is: Andorra, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia , Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom, Réunion, Saint Martin and French Guyana.
There’s no minimum-stay requirement, therefore you could stay just one night at a cheap Ibis hotel and bag 1000 points which is worth €20.
Note the usual gotchas though: only new bookings after registration count, and don’t part-pay you booking using points!
Accor (and Hilton) is now selling day-use rooms
It’ not uncommon for hotels to sell day-use rooms, although most online hotel booking platforms don’t support reserving it. As the epidemic is not going away anytime soon and people are looking for a place to work other than their home, Accor has finally seen the opportunity and got around to add this feature to its site.
As you can see here, you can now book Accor’s day-use room on this dedicated webpage. Rules are:
- Check-in at 9am
- Check-out at 6pm
- You earn Accor points for the spend
However, prices aren’t cheap – I find them more expensive than booking an overnight stay!
Accor isn’t the first hotel group to provide this functionality. In fact, you are able to book a day use room with Hilton directly since a long time ago. Just select the same check-in and check-out date on their website or app:
You always get the stay credit and points for your stay, but night credit can be hit-and-miss – you’re not staying overnight anyway. Elite benefits also apply, so you will get room upgrade and (for Diamond members) executive lounge access.
Great Accor fast track offer – Up to 10 bonus night credits after one stay
After withdrawing all its free status offers, Accor has been very stingy and there’s almost no way to fast track to Platinum status (still some for Gold and Silver). While Hilton, Marriott and Hyatt etc. are all offering fast track or status match opportunities, Accor doesn’t seem to care.
It seems though that Accor has finally opened up its gate. As you can see on this page, you will earn a certain number of bonus night credits after booking and staying once by the end of this year.
Note that it must be a new booking made after registration. Classic, Silver and Gold members earn 5, 7 and 10 bonus night credits respectively. There’s no incentive for Platinum members.
There’s a catch though – this is a targeted offer intended for Flight Centre Travel Group clients. However the terms and conditions make no suggestion that you must book via them to trigger the offer, so there is a chance that it may work for every one.
After clicking Subscribe Now, I received a success message and a confirmation email.
If you have any plan of staying at an Accor hotel by the end of this year, it’s a no brainer to sign up even if it may not work in the end. Night credits collected this year also count towards status in the next year.
Which hotel groups are rolling over your night credits this year?
All hotel chains have already applied some sort of Covid-19 policies at this point. For their loyalty programmes, this started with the extension of elite status and different kind of vouchers.
(more…)The Story Behind Accor’s Shareholders Club
Having suffered from their horrible IT system and customer service, Accor is my least favourite major hotel chain. Today I’ll tell an interesting story of their Club des Actionnaires, a.k.a Shareholders Club, for those who are relatively new to the game and didn’t know about it.
(more…)Mercure Hotels UK sale – room from £45, breakfast included
A lot of Mercure hotels in the UK are operated by the Jupiter Hotels Group, and they sometimes run promotions themselves without going through Accor’s channel.

With the pandemic pretty much contained, tourism in some Asian countries are already recovering, and we are seeing a lot of amazing “welcome-back” hotel promotions.

Accor introduced their refurbished loyalty programme All Live Limitless last year, and one enhancement to Platinum’s benefits were two suite night upgrade vouchers.
