Hyatt Europe offer: 2,500 bonus points or double elite qualifying nights
Hyatt has had different forms of promotion in different regions this quarter. The one in Europe has been going on for a while, but I didn’t find the registration link until recently.
There are two different targeted offers:
Stay between June 8th and September 5th at Hyatt properties in Europe, Middle East, Africa and Southwest Asia to participate.
If your account address is in one of these regions, you are likely to be eligible for one of the offers. Good news is that reward night counts too.
Radisson hotels 25%-off sale and 2,000 bonus points
Radisson hotels is running a sale in Europe, Middle East and Asia. You can check out the offer page here.
As a Radisson Rewards member, you save up to 25% on stays at participating hotels (non-member saves only 15%). You also earn 1,000 bonus points on 2-night stays, or 2,000 bonus points on 3-night stays or longer.
When booking the sale rate, you’ll also get 25% discount in the Middle East and Africa, or 20% discount in Central / Southern Europe on food and drinks spend.
You need to book my March 30 for stays between April 1 and May 31, 2022.
3000 Emirates Miles for One Hilton Stay in the Middle East & Africa
Since the refurbishment of its loyalty program a couple of years ago, it’s no longer possible to earn Hilton points and airline miles at the same time when staying at their hotels. However, they still run occasional promotions where you can earn bonus miles on top of the usual Hilton points.
There is now one such promotion, and you can register here.
- Register and book by 18th May
- Stay once by 31st August at participating hotels
- Earn 3000 Emirates Skywards miles
- Limit to first 1,000 registrants only
You need to select Emirates as your preferred travel partner in your Hilton profile.
All participating hotels are in the Middle East and Africa, so not many can take advantage of it. And unlike the previous Miles & More offer, you can only earn the bonus miles once.
Given the limited number of slots available, I’d recommend to sign up now if you believe there’s any chance you visit the regions this summer. Remember that you will still earn full Hilton points and night credits for the stay, so there’s nothing to lose.
Marriott 3-for-2 Offer in the Middle East and Africa
This is a very old offer that started in the SPG times long before the merger, and Marriott has been extending the offer since.
You can access the offer page here. It’s a partner offer with Mastercard, so in theory when you make the booking it has to be on a Mastercard.
There are three forms of rate type: 3-for-2 (Stay three nights and pay for 2), 4-for-3 and 6-for-4, which are equivalent to 33% off, 25% off and 33% off respectively.
To book, simply enter your stay details on the offer page, or search on Marriott’s homepage with promo code BOG. In the example below, the BOG rate is indeed the cheapest one across the board:
Note that however, this rate is non-changeable and non-refundable, which makes it very unattractive in the current climate. Still it’s worth knowing of though in case it becomes useful for your future trips.
Radisson Hotels 25% off EMEA sale
Radisson hotels has just launched a new promotion in Europe, Middle East and Africa.
You can access the offer page here.
- Book by October 21
- Stay by February 28, 2021
- Discount is 10% – 25% at Radisson Edwardian hotels, for all other brands it seems to be a flat 25%
- Reservations are cancellable 24 hours prior to arrival
I checked some UK hotels:
- Park Plaza Westminster Bridge London £111
- The May Fair, A Radisson Collection Hotel £213
- Park Plaza London Park Royal £64
- The Edwardian Manchester, A Radisson Collection Hotel £123
- Park Plaza Cardiff £86
The rate is not very impressive – at the same discount (25%) Marriott chooses to throw in breakfast as well. If you find anything that suits your plan though, don’t forget to register to the current Radisson promotion to earn 5000 bonus points per stay.
Marriott’s great 25% off + breakfast offer in UK and Europe
This offer has actually being going on for a while. I didn’t plan to write about it in the first place but just realised recently that it’s actually quite decent, so will briefly talk about it today.
(more…)Stay at one-bed apartment in central London/Paris/New York for £80!
You may not have heard of its name, but The Ascott is a hotel group specialised in serviced apartments based in Singapore. Their footprint in Asia is quite good, with some properties across Europe and Middle East too, especially strong-ish presence in France. Its two major brands are Ascott and Citadines.

ASR (Ascott’s loyalty programme) is running a very, very interesting promotion at the moment. As you can see on their website, you get 100% bonus when you purchase at least 200,000 points.

The promotion runs until August 31st, and the points are valid for 2 years. It seems you can purchase max. 400,000 points in one go, although I’m not sure if you can purchase multiple times.
So how does this work?
- Given the 100% bonus, you pay 1.25 SGD (72p) for every 1,000 points
- You can redeem 1,000 points for 2.5 SGD (£1.44) when booking hotels
ASR has a very similar redemption system to the one of Accor’s. Basically you get fixed value out of your points when you redeem them – and in this case, that value doubles your cost!
Well I have only 2,000 points in my account, but you can see I’m not lying:
It means that by purchasing points, you only pay half of the rate of any hotel advertised on their website. Well not all, as you can’t use it on hotels managed by partners, but as far as I know those hotels operate mainly in China.
Let’s look at some examples. All the prices below are for one night, one room, double occupancy, on Saturday August 1st.
You pay £58 for a classic room (25 sqm) or £83 for a one-bed apartment (45 sqm). Or more centrally:
Citadines Trafalgar Square London
You pay £72 for a studio room (25 sqm), £115 for a one-bed apartment (39 sqm), or £202 for a two-bed apartment (70 sqm, hosting 6 ppl!)
You pay €66 for a studio room (25 sqm), or €94 for a one-bed apartment (35 sqm) with Eiffel Tower view!
Citadines Kurfürstendamm Berlin
You pay €30(!) for a studio room (25 sqm), or €66 for a one-bed apartment (42 sqm).
It is €52 for a classic room (20 sqm), or €90 for a one-bed apartment (38 sqm).
There are many more bargains out there and it’s not limited to Europe, but in New York, the Middle East and Asia too. Considering the 50% off, and you can even stack it with discounted rates offered on the website, I doubt you’ll find any rate that is not decent.
Given that points are valid for 2 years, it may make sense to buy some speculatively even if you don’t plan to travel now. Of course you lose out on the benefits if you are elite with Marriott, Hilton etc, but many prices we see here are irresistible. If you are travelling with family or lots of friends, and/or stay for a long time, Ascott can be a great option as many rooms are equipped with a kitchen / kitchenette and a laundry machine.
Great Radisson EMEA sale: free breakfast and €50 hotel credit!
As Asia is recovering from the pandemic, we have already seen a lot of incredible hotel promotions in China and Southeast Asia. Hopefully Europe will slowly follow suit – and gladly we are already seeing one from Radisson Hotels.
