GHA: D$50 offer, Titanium status giveaway
To build the brand awareness, GHA has offered quite a few generous promotions since the launch of its refreshed program. Another one has been released just now.
You can check the offer details here.
- Register and book by October 31
- Stay by November 30
- Minimum two-night stays at “new” brands count
- You earn D$50 bonus for each stay up to four times
Note that only new bookings after offer registration trigger the bonus. Although the promotion is called Discover a Brand, the only restriction is that you can’t stay at the same brand as inscribed on your electronic membership card. It’s assumed to be the brand through which you joined the GHA program.
However, it appears that for the majority of us, there’s no accompanying brand on our membership card at all. And according to the FAQ, in this case we can stay at any participating GHA hotels.
Unlike Marriott’s Q3 promotion, you don’t have to stay with a new brand each time – in fact you can stay at the same hotel four times and still trigger the full $200 bonus.
On a relevant note, GHA’s Instagram account is running a Titanium status giveaway:
- Follow @ghadiscovery
- Leave a comment under the post and tag three friends
- Five winners will be picked on September 30
- The gifted Titanium status is valid through 2023
Good luck!
Hyatt “Dine Local” triple points offer
Hyatt allows you to earn points when dining with them even when you are not a staying guest. Their “Dine Local” offer is now back which makes the deal even better.
You can check the offer details and participating hotels at this link.
- Valid between September 15 and December 20
- Earn triple base points (=15 points / $1) when dining as a non-staying guest
- Bonus points is capped at 100K per transaction, which is very unlikely an issue
Note that if you are staying at the hotel, you must settle your bill at the restaurant instead of charging it to your folio. Otherwise you’ll earn double points under the current Bonus Journey offer instead.
There are 10 participating hotels in the UK:
- Great Scotland Yard
- Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill
- Andaz London Liverpool Street
- Hyatt Place London City East
- Hyatt Place West London Hayes
- Hyatt House London Stratford
- Hyatt Regency London Stratford
- Hyatt Place London Heathrow Airport
- Hyatt Regency Birmingham
- Hyatt Regency Manchester
I very rarely eat at any hotel restaurant unless I’m staying there. If you do though, it’s a good chance for you to bag some Hyatt points.
Free cocktails at Kempinski hotels
We wrote about GHA’s local offers a while ago. Although it’s not as exciting as the local experiences that the old program used to provide, the new local offers are much wider in range and accessible to all members.

Kempinski is celebrating their 125th anniversary, and you could claim a free drink if visiting one of the following hotels:
- Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest
- Kempinski Hotel Adriatic Istria Croatia
- Kempinski Palace Portoroz Slovenia
- Grand Hotel Kempinski Vilnius
- Kempinski Residences & Suites Doha
- Djibouti Palace Kempinski
- Cabrits Resort & Spa Kempinski Dominica
- Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City Accra
- Villa Rosa Kempinski Nairobi
- (Plus most hotels in China)
Other Kempinski hotels, feeling less generous, are doing a 2-4-1 deal instead. In terms of the drink, most hotels offer a specially-crafted anniversary drink, but some may have a different menu. The offer is for one or two persons, but GHA is free to join anyway.
You don’t need to be a staying guest to claim the offer. You do need to however, make a reservation beforehand.
If this particular offer doesn’t interest you, it’s still worth checking the other local offers nearby. Some hotels offer complimentary access to their gym, swimming pool or even executive lounge – you just never know!
Marriott Q3 offer: 4,000 bonus points per stay
Marriott has revealed its promotion for 2022’s last quarter and you can register now.
Rules are:
- Register by December 1st
- Stay between September 21st and December 15th
- Only paid stays count
- Starting from your second stay, earn 2,000 bonus points per stay
- Marriott co-branded cardholders only: starting from the second brand, earn 2,000 addition bonus points per brand
There are two Marriott co-branded credit cards in the UK, issued by American Express and Creation respectively, but the latter stopped receiving new applications years ago.
The offer isn’t very generous, but is beneficial if you are looking to requalify for Platinum / Titanium in the next few months. Marriott at 20+ brands (excluding the non-participating ones), so you could design your itinerary of cheap one-night stays with every brand to bag some bonus points on your mattress run.
Coming soon: Join or renew InterContinental Ambassador for 20K bonus points
(Now live)
I’ve been holding off renewing my Intercontinental Ambassador membership in the hope of another renewal offer. The offer is indeed coming back finally, however…
Refer to the following image for details:
Basically, join or renew your Ambassador membership between September 2nd and December 31st to activate the offer. Once enrolled, stay two nights at any InterContinental, Regent or Kimpton hotels by January 31st 2023 to receive 20K bonus points. The offer is not live yet, but I expect the t&c to reflect it very soon.
The two nights must be paid, but redeeming the Ambassador BOGOF voucher also counts. If you are unfamiliar with InterContinental Ambassador you can read my review here – in my opinion it’s a great program and you can earn the annual fee back from one BOGOF stay already. 20K bonus points is another reason to join.
You can renew your membership online 92 days before it expires by paying $200 or 40,000 points, and the former option comes with a bonus of 15,000 points. You can also pay to renew it when staying at an InterContinental hotel, but not all of them know how to do it.
The problem is, my membership expires on September 1st! Of course I can wait one more day to re-join and take advantage of the offer, but I don’t want to risk not renewing my Diamond status, which is worth much more than 20K points.
A friend has called IHG’s customer service who confirms the authenticity of this promotion. What they’ve also said is re-joining on the same month (in my case September) is also considered renewal, but I’m not sure if I want to take the punt.
Live: IHG 4x bonus flash sale
We wrote about IHG’s new targeted offer for 30k points last week. There is another offer that has gone live which you may double dip.

The offer is only publicised on China’s Wechat platform but you can read some details from the poster above.
- All IHG members in Greater China (Mainland / Hong Kong / Macau / Taiwan) can participate
- Stays at any IHG hotels globally are eligible
- Book between August 29 and 31 (Beijing Time)
- Stay in September
- Earn quadruple points on all stays
- Bonus is capped at 100k
Note that only stays booked on those three days count. It’s basically an extension of the expiring Q2 offer, although there’s no longer a milestone requirement to accrue the full quadruple points.
You can register to the offer here. Upon successful registration you should be able to find it in your account’s Offers section:
In theory, your IHG’s account address needs to be in Greater China to be eligible, however people with overseas address appear to be able to enrol too. My speculation is, although it’s a regional campaign, IHG didn’t bother to enforce the address check technicality.
Anyway, temporarily “moving” your IHG account to China is simple, and as hotel stays globally can trigger this offer it’s barely a hurdle.
I’ve managed to snap both the 4X Flash Sale and 10K Points for Every 5 Nights offers. It could work very well for September stays, especially if you are hoping to mattress run 40 nights for the annual lounge pass.

New IHG offer: 30K points for 15 nights
I’ve just received an email from IHG for a targeted promotion, and you should try signing up too.
The registration link is here.
- Stay between September 1 and September 30
- Only paid nights count
- Stay every 5 nights to earn 10,000 bonus points, up to three times
If you can achieve those targets, it adds 2,000 bonus points per qualifying night which isn’t bad. In theory it’s a targeted offer, but many of my friends have received the email too so it appears to be widely available.
The current quadruple points offer runs until the end of August. Given the timeframe of this new offer, there won’t be another IHG Q3 promotion until October at least.
Accor promotion: Europe 500 points and China triple points
Accor is committed to a green initiative at select European properties, and is giving its members an incentive to stay with them by offering bonus points.

- Book by September 15
- Stay between August 15 and October 15
- Minimum two night stay
- Earn 500 bonus points per stay, up to three times
500 bonus points is equivalent to €10 when redeeming at Accor hotels. The page has a link to the list of participating hotels, which appears to be mostly Ibis, Novotel and Mercure in the UK and other European countries.
There’s an offer for Accor hotels in Greater China too.
- Register by October 9
- Book and stay by October 10
- Earn triple points for all stays up to 5 nights
