£5 voucher for buying £60 Amazon gift card
If you haven’t bought an Amazon gift card before / recently, you might be eligible for a nice bonus.
You can check your eligibility here. In theory you mustn’t have topped up your Amazon account in the last 36 months in order to qualify, but rules aren’t always enforced strictly – I’m pretty sure I did it last year but I’m still invited to participate.
If you are eligible, place an Amazon gift card order for £60 or more and enter the promo code AUG2022GC605. You will be sent a £5 voucher to use on Amazon-sold products later, and there seems to be no minimum spend requirement.

£15 free money to spend at Amazon Fresh stores
Amazon has been promoting their Fresh stores heavily lately. There was a £5 offer in December 2022 which I took advantage of, and it has come back with a couple of other new offers.
You can access the offer page here. It is very straightforward: you get a £5 discount to use at any Amazon Fresh store and there’s no minimum spend requirement, which means you can grab £5 worth of items for free! It will also stack with any other promotions the store might have. (Snapshot from previous offer so date is incorrect)
You don’t have to use the £5 balance in one shop. It’s not valid on alcohol or infant formula.
You have until January 31 to redeem the offer. The problem of course, is Amazon Fresh doesn’t operate outside London. They do have almost 20 stores in the capital though, so you are a London resident it’s very likely that you’ll come across one.
There is a similar offer for new stores, which you can access and claim here.
Which entitles you to a further £5 discount each at the Monument and East Croydon store, valid until March 10th. You cannot stack two vouchers at once, but nothing stops you from doing two back-to-back £5 shops.
Travelling to Monument or East Croydon for £5 isn’t worthwhile, but if you happen to be near either store don’t forget to pop in!

Save 50% off your restaurant bill with TheFork
You probably have heard of or even used OpenTable and SquareMeal, which are famous online restaurant booking platforms. One of their competitors just came into my attention recently, and they are running a very good promotion which covers London and other UK cities.
TheFork, backed by TripAdvisor, is a restaurant reservation platform that was founded in Australia but now supports dozens of countries in Europe and Americas. It works in a very similar way to OpenTable.
They are now running an event called TheFork Festival that ends on November 27th. Participating restaurants may offer up to 50% off your food bill!
Some of the names in London are:
- Hard Rock Cafe Oxford Street
- Clermont Charing Cross
- Harrods Social
- Podium Restaurant at London Hilton Park Lane
- Sushi Salsa (Japanese)
- Happy Lamb Bayswater (Chinese)
- Sticky Mango (Malaysian)
Some popular venues may have very limited 50%-off slots and offer 20%-off or 30%-off instead, but more availability could turn up closing in. I made a 50%-off reservation myself and the saving was impressive!
TheFork also runs a loyalty program where you collect yums by making reservations and they can be redeemed against your future bills at select restaurants. If you use my referral code 83720151 on your first booking you’ll earn 1,000 yums which is worth £20.
Earn £5 voucher for using Amazon Pay
Amazon Pay is Amazon’s payment product which is similar to Paypal, Google Pay or Apple Pay. To encourage its acceptance, Amazon has started a new initiative for customers to try it out. I noticed the following banner on Amazon’s homepage:
Which brings me to this offer page. Unlike other Amazon offers, the page doesn’t seem to indicate whether one is eligible for the promotion or not.
If you are eligible, pay at least £10 via Amazon Pay by November 25th and a £5 Amazon voucher will be deposited into your account, which can be redeemed against a purchase of £25 or more. Act fast as it’s open to the first 2,500 customers only.
You can find all merchants supporting Amazon Pay on this page. The list isn’t very long, and some of the better known names are All Saints, Trespass, Dyson, Feel Unique, Hotel Chocolat and National Express.

£10 off your “first” Amazon App purchase
Amazon has re-launched the offer to promote use of its app. You get a £10 voucher for making a purchase through the Amazon App.
You could check your eligibility here, and in theory you should only qualify if you have never signed into the app before. However their IT is a bit mystery though – I’ve had the app for ages although I don’t log in very often, and I’m still eligible.
If you are eligible, download the Amazon app and sign in to make a purchase of £25 or more, and per usual it has to be items sold by Amazon. Use promo code APP10UK when you checkout.
The promotion ends on September 5 and is limited to the first 5,000 redemptions only.

Use Amazon Currency Converter to earn £5 voucher
While I was placing an order today on Amazon, I saw a new promo message about their Currency Converter service.
You can check out the offer here. Basically by placing an order using the Amazon Currency Converter by July 31st, you’ll receive a £5 off voucher on your next purchase of £50, to use by September 30th.
You probably have never seen Amazon Currency Converter before, as it only shows up when the chosen card’s set currency is different than the sales (i.e. GBP). I have a U.S. credit card saved in my Amazon account which is probably why I was targeted for this promotion.
If you change the currency of your payment card you should see the option too.
The problem is it’s not cheap. In the example above, it charges me $123.60 for £100, whereas according to Google £100 = $120.05. The actual handling fee here is $3.55, or 2.96%.
However, in order to trigger the offer you only need to buy something cheap. I went for a £15 item in the end, which is essentially equivalent to paying 50p for a £5 voucher, which isn’t a bad deal I suppose.
