£10 Amazon credit for Barclaycard customers

If you are a Barclaycard customer, there’s now a chance to grab a free £10 Amazon credit.

You can check out the offer details here. Note that according to the terms and conditions you must land on the offer page first before taking part.

  • Offer ends September 30
  • Pay at least £10 on Amazon with your Barclaycard
  • You’ll then receive a £10 voucher to use by October 30

The offer should be open to all Barclaycard customers – note that it is Barclays’ credit card division, so debit cards that come with their current account won’t qualify.

15% off lastminute / iTunes gift card via Amazon

Amazon has brought back its sale on third-party gift cards and you can see the offer here.

The following brands are participating:

  • 10% off App Store & iTunes
  • 15% off Odeon
  • 15% off Pizza Express
  • 15% off Cafe Rouge
  • 15% off Bella Italia
  • 15% off Lastminute
  • 15% off Pizza Hut
  • 25% off Red Letter Days
  • 25% off Buyagift

Most of them are not very interesting, but Lastminute gift cards may be handy if you are looking to buy flight tickets.

It’s unclear when the sale ends. Make sure you read the terms before purchasing, e.g. whether it can be redeemed online or in-store, and whether it can be combined with voucher codes etc.

Get £10 Amazon voucher for using its Photos app

Amazon has brought back its offer to promote the Photos app, which you may avail for a free £10 credit.

You can view the offer on this page, and there should be a message about your eligibility. You must be a paying Amazon Prime member to be eligible.

To participate, you need to download the Amazon Photos app and upload at least one photo via the app by January 31. You will receive your £10 Amazon credit within 7 days, and have until February 15 to redeem it.

There is a minimum purchase value of £25 to use the credit, and like usual it only applies to items sold and fulfilled by Amazon.

Other Amazon offers:

12 “The Spectator” issues and £20 Amazon voucher for £12

“The Spectator” is a British weekly magazine on politics. I know them through an Avios promotion which ran last year – in fact by doing a Google search I think there’s another Avios promotion ongoing, however I don’t think it’s as attractive as the deal that I’m taking about today.

You can access the offer here.

  • Pay £12 for a 12-week trial (12 issues)
  • Plus get a £20 Amazon gift voucher for free
  • After the trial it costs £39.99 per 13 weeks

I have never read The Spectator and I’m not a fan of politics myself so I cannot comment on the quality of the magazine. However even if you are not interested in the read at all, you are just paying £12 for the £20 Amazon voucher, which is a 40% discount.

Remember to cancel your subscription before renewal if you don’t want to pay for the magazine.

Free Deliveroo Plus for Amazon Prime customers

Interesting new development from Amazon Prime – you can now enjoy free Deliveroo Plus membership.

For details and activation please visit this page. To be clear, the complimentary subscription offered is Deliveroo Plus Silver (previously called Family), which means you have to spend £25 on an order for free delivery. It’s usually charged at £3.49 per month.

Moreover, the subscription is valid for up to 12 months, subject to you continuously being an Amazon Prime member. So if you are only an occasional Deliveroo user don’t rush to activate, do it right before you want to place an order instead.

If you are not yet an Amazon Prime member, you can start you 30-day free trial here which should give you the Deliveroo benefit too. Remember to cancel the renewal though if you don’t want to pay, however your Deliveroo benefit will terminate if you opt to do so. Meanwhile, new Deliveroo customers can enjoy four £2.5 off discounts if signing up using my referral link here (thanks!).

Complimentary Avis President’s Club membership for Mastercard members

Hertz, Avis and Europcar all have different partnerships with hotel groups etc that offer elite status and rent discounts. If you are a customer of Avis, there is now a such chance for free status elevation.

The offer which is through an agreement with Mastercard can be accessed here.

  • Mastercard Black and World Elite cardholders receive complimentary President’s Club membership
  • Mastercard Platinum, Gold and World or Business cardholders receive complimentary Preferred membership

Use the link on the page and the respective passcode shown to sign up. There doesn’t appear to be any verification though, unless I have missed something.

(EDIT: you do need to link your account with a Mastercard although I don’t know if they verify the card type too. If you have an Amex card, try the passcode Centurion instead.)

I don’t drive myself so can’t really comment on how useful the status would be. But from what I understand Preferred is a free scheme which anyone can sign up to. President’s Club seems to be the sweet spot as you can expect a single or double upgrade at least.

Morrisons deal is back – heavy discount on Amazon / Uber / Waitrose gift cards!

Earlier this year Morrisons launched a massive campaign which offered cashback incentives across many platforms. The deal appears to be back now which can be very ludicrous!

I have the following offers on my cards / accounts:

  • Airtime: 7% cashback on £30+, or 1% otherwise (end date unclear)
  • Virgin Shops Aways Instore: 6 points / £1 (ends 15/09)
  • MBNA: 15% cashback, max £10 (ends 21/09)
  • Virgin Atlantic Credit Card: 10% cashback on £30+, or 1% otherwise (ends 25/08)

The best part is you can double dip or even triple dip on these offers. Last time I took advantage of the VA credit card, Airtime and Shops Aways offers, which given the current conditions equates to 21% cashback if you value Virgin points at 0.7p.

Do I buy any grocery at Morrisons? No, but Morrisons sells gift cards of other merchants too, including:

  • Amazon
  • Uber / Uber Eats
  • John Lewis / Waitrose
  • One4all

…and so on. And purchases of such gift cards trigger all the aforementioned offers too, so enjoy!

£7 credit for using Amazon Photos

Amazon has brought back its offer to promote the Photos app. I wasn’t eligible last time and it seems to have changed now, so you should also have a look.

You can view the offer on this page, and there should be a message if you are ineligible. You must be a paying Amazon Prime member to be eligible.

To participate, you need to download the Amazon Photos app and upload at least one photo via the app by August 31. You will receive your £7 Amazon credit within 7 days, and have until September 15 to redeem it.

There is a minimum purchase value of £25 to use the credit, and like always it only applies to items sold by Amazon.
