Amazon £5 off £25 spend offer
Amazon has released a new good offer finally, and you can check your eligibility on the landing page here.
- Valid until 24 January or until 10,000 coupons have been redeemed
- Not valid on items sold by third-party sellers even if fulfilled by Amazon
- A minimum order value of £25 is required
- Enter code DISCOUNT5P to enjoy £5 off
I have added an Echo Dot to my basket for testing purchase and the discount has successfully applied:
As it’s limited to the first 10,000 users only, I wouldn’t wait too long!
£5 off your first Amazon Baby Wishlist
A new offer just has been released if you need any baby or child products. You could see its details here.
To participate, you’ll need to create the first baby wishlist by the end of January. Then add eligible products to your basket until you’ve added £20 worth of them. You’ll see a yellow message like this if the product is eligible:
At checkout simply enter promo code BABY5 to take advantage of the offer.
Obviously you don’t actually need to have a baby to quality, however those products are most likely only suitable for babies or kids, with few exceptions.
Amazon Fresh £10 discount offer
It’s been a while since Amazon offered any promo codes, and there’s finally a new one for Amazon Fresh.
You could see the offer page here. Unlike other offers, you don’t see a banner telling whether you are eligible by visiting the page. It doesn’t look a targeted offer this time, however you must:
- Be a paying Amazon Prime member
- Have never placed any Amazon Fresh order before
If so, your can save £10 on your first Amazon Fresh order of £60 or more by entering code 10FRESH at check-out. Note that the order must be placed by 31 December.
Shop online to get the Amex Shop Small £5 credit
As we all know, Amex has launched the Shop Small campaign once again like in the summer and in previous years. It runs until 20th December and is a great way to save on your daily shopping.
But due to the current situation, it may be challenging for some to go outside and benefit from this offer. There is a workaround to this, although there’s no guarantee that it definitely works.
The thing is, some of the small shops have a website and support placing online orders. Depends on how the payment is processed, your purchase may trigger the £5 cashback offer as well.
Here is a list of such merchants, mentioned in the comments section of Headforpoints or reported by my friends:
- Silver UK – Jewellery seller
- Trouva – Clothing
- All Green – Gardening and environmental products
- Yard Sale Pizza – Pizza delivery
- Meat Me at Home – Butcher shop
- Reward Gateway – Employee benefits platform
As I mentioned earlier, these are past experiences and there’s no guarantee that your spend can still trigger the bonus, but you may wish to check it out by spending a small amount.
800 Free Avios for filling out a questionnaire
You probably have heard of e-Rewards – it is an enterprise-facing service that distributes online surveys. As an end user (worker?), every time you fill out a survey you’ll earn some rewards, which could be hotel / airline points or other forms of rebate depending on the affiliation you signed up with.
By 15 December, if you register as a new e-Rewards user and complete the first survey, you’ll earn 800 bonus Avios. British Airways’ offer page is here and you need to sign up via this link. Although the offer appears to be global, the sign-up link has a .co.uk domain and you may need a UK address.
I used e-Rewards for a while a few years back. You usually earn between 50 and 500 points for each survey, co-related to the length of it. It’s definitely not rewarding enough for the time spent, so don’t expect too much out of it unless you’re just killing time. It also happens quite often that you get disqualified at the beginning or even in the middle of surveys due to “wrong answers”.
That said, 800 Avios for a few minutes on their website doesn’t sound a bad deal at all. e-Rewards has similar deals with other loyalty schemes too, so you may want to dig around a little bit if Avios is of no use to you.
Listed on BA’s offer page is another piece regarding Rocketmiles – new members get 5,000 bonus Avios after completing the first booking with them. We’ve actually written about it back in June, and now that our chances of travelling are getting slightly better you may want to re-consider using it, and your earning preference doesn’t have to be Avios. Should you want to participate, feel free to use my referral link (or enter code PKUKAYCHOU during sign-up) for 1,000 additional points after your first booking.
Instant Platinum status for Red by Dufry
(This promotion has expired but there’s an alternative)
Red by Dufry is a membership programme for duty-free shoppers. They are running a promotion at the moment which elevates you to the top-tier immediately.
To participate, simply download their app and create an account if you don’t have one (you can also sign up online here). Once you’re logged in, click My Profile and you’ll see a place to enter promo code – use REDPLATSMART0821.
You may need to log out and then back in to see your status updated. I’m not sure how long the Platinum status is valid for.
One of the best Platinum benefits was $10 for a Dragonpass single entry, which unfortunately has been discontinued and all members have to pay a flat $27 now.
However, you can still enjoy 10% off at Dufry shops – this includes World Duty Free shops at Heathrow and many other airports globally.
[Black Friday] Amazon £10 off coupon & other deals
[£10 off first App purchase]
Selected members only. By 16th December you could get £10 off your first purchase of £30 or more in the Amazon app, with code APP10UK.
[Emma Mattresses]
As I’m moving into my new home, the first thing I bought was a mattress. A friend strongly recommended Emma, which happens to be at their lowest price ever on Amazon (link here). I tried it out already and it felt pretty comfortable.
RRP: £579 / Now: £395.85 (32% off)
[Joseph Joseph]
Joseph Joseph is renowned for their design of kitchen utensils, and their official website is also running a sale at the moment. The bamboo chopping board set I bought however (link here), costs a lot less on Amazon than on their website (£56).
RRP: £70 / Now: £45.99 (34% off)
[Bowers & Wilkins]
If you need a wireless noise cancellation headset, B&W’s PX7 can be a very good deal at the moment (link here).
RRP: £349.99 / Now: £218 (38% off)
[Philips Air Fryer]
Frees your hand from cooking (link here)!
RRP: £200 / Now: £154.95 (23% off)
[Amazon Devices]
Although prices are adjusted all the time and some (or many) of the so-called Black Friday deals may not be genuine, Amazon’s own devices are usually real cheap under such promotions.
Echo Dot 4th generation plus 6-month Music Unlimited trial
RRP: £109.92 / Now: £28.99 (73% off)
Kindle White plus 3-month Kindle Unlimited trial
RRP: £69.99 / Now: £49.99 (28% off)
[Black Friday] Save 50% on hotels & flights with lastminute.com
It’s flying under the radar, but lastminute.com is running a very good sale at the moment.
It’s featured under its Pink Friday themed promotion. Until 30th November, you can enjoy 50% off their hotel, flight or flight+hotel gift vouchers. Simply enter promo code PINKFRIDAY50 when you check out. You can buy as many voucher as you like, but keep in mind that they are valid for 12 months, and you can only redeem one voucher per booking.
After you’ve made the purchase, you’ll be redirected to the voucher management page. Press Activate for myself and the voucher code will be sent to your email address.
Because of the rules, the ideal situation is when the booking costs exactly £50 so you have a genuine half-price saving. It’s quite straightforward to redeem, just be sure to compare the prices with other platforms before you book:
(I have no clue why the discount is 4p excessive either!)
For flights, note that you can only redeem on return trips.
If you know that you’ll have some (un-expensive) trips in the next twelve months, it may make sense to stock up some of the lastminute vouchers now.
