The file is in Chinese, and to be honest doesn\u2019t contain much useful information. Here\u2019s a summary of what\u2019s happening:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>New elite tiers will come into effect in March<\/li><li>a new&nbsp;<strong>Silver&nbsp;<\/strong>tier is introduced, and from its qualification criteria it matches to the old&nbsp;<strong>Gold&nbsp;<\/strong>tier<\/li><li><strong>Gold&nbsp;<\/strong>tier now has higher qualification criteria and probably enhanced benefits<\/li><li><strong>Spire&nbsp;<\/strong>is renamed to&nbsp;<strong>Diamond<\/strong>&nbsp;to be inline with industry convention<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Note that IHG elite status has all been extended through February 2023. I assume that current Gold \/ Platinum \/ Spire members will be matched to Gold \/ Platinum \/ Diamond directly when the new program launches regardless of your activities in the last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the new program, it\u2019s significantly harder to retain status via elite qualifying points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In terms of benefits, welcome drinks for&nbsp;<strong>Club&nbsp;<\/strong>members in Greater China is being cancelled.
