You can always pick up a local SIM of course, but there are options you can consider whilst in the UK to avoid the roaming fees as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>[O2]<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As of today, O2 still doesn&#8217;t charge any roaming free when you are in Europe. Good news for those who are a customer with them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>[Three]<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Three used to have a fantastic feature called <em>Feel at Home<\/em> \/ <em>Go Roam<\/em> that allowed free roaming in Europe and many other international destinations. Unfortunately it terminated last year and is no longer included for new contracts starting in or after October 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/dev-test.verylvke.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/07\/three-go-roam.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"400\" height=\"270\" src=\"http:\/\/dev-test.verylvke.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/07\/three-go-roam.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12878\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dev-test.verylvke.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/07\/three-go-roam.png 400w, https:\/\/dev-test.verylvke.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/07\/three-go-roam-300x203.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>However, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dev-test.verylvke.com\/three-go-roam\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Go Roam<\/a> is still valid for Pay As You Go (prepaid SIM) customers<\/strong>. It sounds as if Three was punishing their loyal customers under a contract, which is a bit weird.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Go Roam supports many more territories than just Europe, including United States, Australia, Israel, Brazil, Hong Kong and Vietnam, just to name a few. If you are heading to one of these destinations, just <a href=\"https:\/\/dev-test.verylvke.com\/three-payg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">grab a pre-paid SIM<\/a> before you go &#8211; at the time of writing the cheapest plan costs only \u00a310.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>[Airalo]<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If your destination is not included in Go Roam, or you don&#8217;t have time to order a SIM card, <a href=\"https:\/\/dev-test.verylvke.com\/airalo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Airalo<\/a> is your friend.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/dev-test.verylvke.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/07\/airalo-logo.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"400\" height=\"200\" src=\"http:\/\/dev-test.verylvke.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/07\/airalo-logo.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12808\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dev-test.verylvke.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/07\/airalo-logo.jpg 400w, https:\/\/dev-test.verylvke.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/07\/airalo-logo-300x150.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Airalo sells eSIM for over 190 countries, so wherever you are travelling it&#8217;s most likely that Airalo has an eSIM that works for you. Because you don&#8217;t need to acquire a physical card, it&#8217;s more convenient and the process is almost instant &#8211; that&#8217;s assuming you have a compatible device of course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I travelled to the United States recently and tried it out.
