The first one is called <strong>Day Pass<\/strong>, which very naturally represents the day use rate. <a href=\"https:\/\/dev-test.verylvke.com\/marriott-day-pass\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">As you can see on the page<\/a>, what you get is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>6am check-in and 6pm check-out (12 hours)<\/li><li>A proper work environment, including functional desk &amp; chair and natural light<\/li><li>Premium wi-fi<\/li><li>Complimentary bottled water<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Worth noting that the rate is eligible for Marriott points accrual, and also Platinum elite and above are <strong>granted lounge access<\/strong> where applicable. However, you won&#8217;t earn elite night credit as you are not staying overnight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I don&#8217;t think Marriott&#8217;s default search engine supports same-day check-out yet, so you need to use <a href=\"https:\/\/london.idaypass.com\/marriott\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">this dedicated site<\/a> to book. Here are the rates I find at some London hotels:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><a href=\"https:\/\/dev-test.verylvke.com\/residence-inn-tower-bridge\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Residence Inn by Marriott Tower Bridge<\/a> \u00a350<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/dev-test.verylvke.com\/residence-inn-kensington\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Residence Inn by Marriott Kensington<\/a> \u00a360<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/dev-test.verylvke.com\/marriott-executive-apartments-canary-wharf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Marriott Canary Wharf Hotel &amp; Executive Apartments<\/a> \u00a370<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/dev-test.verylvke.com\/sheraton-grand-london-park-lane\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sheraton Grand London Park Lane<\/a> \u00a3139<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/dev-test.verylvke.com\/bankside-hotel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bankside Hotel, Autograph Collection<\/a> \u00a3100<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Unlike my observations with Accor, there are some serious discounts here. Of course the experience cannot be compared to an overnight stay, but it could be a budget way for some to try out otherwise expensive hotels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The second rate plan is called <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dev-test.verylvke.com\/marriott-stay-pass\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Stay Pass<\/a><\/strong>, which is for the usual overnight stays, but with similar benefits as the ones included in the Day Pass, plus a $10 F&amp;B voucher. You could search on <a href=\"https:\/\/dev-test.verylvke.com\/marriott-com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Marriott&#8217;s website<\/a> as usual with promo code <strong>1X4<\/strong>. I didn&#8217;t find anything exciting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The last rate plan is called <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dev-test.verylvke.com\/marriott-play-pass\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Play Pass<\/a><\/strong>, designed for those with kids. What you get is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>A Business Concierge<\/li><li>Supervised kids&#8217; activities<\/li><li>Booking access to semi-private workspaces and meeting rooms<\/li><li>Premium wi-fi<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Sounds expensive already, and participating hotels are mostly luxury resorts, such as the <a href=\"https:\/\/dev-test.verylvke.com\/jw-marriott-venice\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">JW Marriott Venice<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/dev-test.verylvke.com\/westin-la-quinta-malaga\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Westin La Quinta at Malaga<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We wrote about Accor&#8217;s campaign for day use rooms a while ago, and now Marriott is ready for the market as well.
